Customized Peels
Forever Young Skin Peels
come in many different types so that we can accommodate all skin
types and needs. Below is a quick description of peel types and
a menu of the peels that Forever Young Skin offers.
Superficial (lunch-time) - Using low
strength agents like glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acids, we
transform the face into soft, glowing skin, without any visible
peeling. These peels are designed to be done in 2-4 week
intervals and over a few months time will elicit lasting changes
in the skin.
Microdermabrasion - Used alone or in
conjunction with a chemical peeling agent, microdermabrasion is
a mechanical peeling agent which is suitable for acne,
pigmentation, and sun-damaged skin. In this manner,
microdermabrasion serves as a superficial peel by itself and as
a light peel when combined with a peeling agent.
Light - Using slightly stronger
versions of same acids, we intensify the superficial peel for
bigger and longer results. Light peels are done on a monthly
basis-Again with at home products to continue the process
between peels. These light peels will usually elicit some light
peeling for one to three days.
Moderate - For more extensive skin
issues like widespread pigmentation or textural issues like
scarring, you may need a moderate depth peel like The Green
Peel® which will remove the epidermis and the upper layers
of the dermis. These peels will feel more uncomfortable
although you will have a fan to help you through the few minutes
of real heat. Afterwards -your skin will look red & swollen and
feel warm and sore. Within a few days, you will form some scabs
and scales upon your skin along with some dark membranous areas
which will peel over the next 1-2 weeks. But as you would
expect the results from these peels are much bigger and last
longer than lighter peels which you would have done more
frequently to elicit gradual changes.

Facials
A facial is a
cosmetic treatment of the face, involving a variety of skin
treatments, grooming steps and deep cleansing of the face, often
with a refreshing combination of steam, exfoliation, extraction,
creams, lotions, masks, peels, and massage.
With so much focus being placed on more
aggressive treatments-facials are getting little attention these
days. But, in actuality, as we exfoliate our skin with harsh
chemicals and procedures-we need maintenance facials more than
ever. Overall, our facials aim to replenish moisture and
nutrients lost through sun, extreme temperatures, other skin
procedures, and busy lives. Our facials, as with all of our
services, are customized to the needs of your skin, but are
always relaxing and induce the release of Oxytocin, a
stress-busting hormone in our bodies. Forever Young Facials
equate looking great with feeling well.
The Benefits of Clay Masks
Clay masks can often clean out the pores around your nose
that contribute to blackheads. You want to keep these pores as
clean as possible so that they don't stretch. The larger the
pores, the more room to trap oil.
Also, did you know...
Masks are not only for the face... a lot of skin is exposed
when you wear a swimsuit and this skin can benefit as well. And
that is especially true for your back.
